In the cryptocurrency field, these commonly used terms are worth mastering. I have compiled 100 core vocabulary words from A to Z.

  • Aggregators—Aggregators; Description: A new type of decentralized exchange platform that connects multiple liquidity pools to provide users with optimal trading prices.
  • APY—Annual Percentage Yield; the actual annual return considering the compounding effect.
  • Arbitrage—Arbitrage operation; transferring tokens from a low-priced platform to a high-priced platform for sale.

  • AMM—Automated Market Maker; algorithm-based automated trading systems.

  • Impossible Triangle—Decentralization, scalability, security. No consensus mechanism currently perfectly balances all three.
  • Super Mario—The project team has high control, leading to drastic price fluctuations.
  • Genesis Block—The first block created in a blockchain.
  • Collateral—Collateral assets; debt guarantees provided by the debtor.
  • CEX—Centralized Exchange; user assets are held centrally by the exchange.
  • CEFI—Centralized Finance; including banks, financial institutions, and exchanges.
  • veToken—Voting Escrow Model; token holders lock tokens in exchange for governance rights, such as CRV, BAL, YFI.
  • Governance (Token Model)—Governance; tokens that grant holders voting rights in a specific protocol. Voting rights can be calculated based on token weight and time weight.
  • Token-weighted Voting—The more governance tokens held, the greater the decision-making weight.
